Prototype completedRobot in Three Days
Organizing a three-day robot build and leading the mechanical work, with hands-on development of the shooter and indexer.
A rookie season with a lot to learn.

Captaining a rookie FRC team, developing the under-bumper intake, and contributing substantial mechanical fabrication and electrical work.
In Grade 12, I was the student captain for Team 9580’s first FRC season. With limited experience on the team, I worked broadly across mechanical design, fabrication and electrical systems.
Our robot used a KitBot basis, with an under-bumper intake, internal indexer, top shooter and endgame climber. The intake is the clearest example of my own technical contribution.
I worked through how much compression the note needed to draw it from the floor into the robot. It was early experience with a mechanism that depends on physical contact, geometry and real game-piece behaviour rather than CAD alone.
As captain of a new team, I also did a great deal of fabrication and helped with electrical work. The broad responsibility meant learning how the mechanisms, wiring and people fit together.
After high school, I carried that experience into mentoring Team 4617 at Western—first as a general mentor, then as lead mentor and WE FIRST president.
The season developed my hands-on design and fabrication experience as well as my leadership. The rookie robot was a team build with an acknowledged KitBot starting point.
